October 8, 2008Director Ridley Scott wore a dark suit and white shirt sans tie, while co-stars Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio were almost twins in their dark suits and grey satin ties.
Leo’s shirt was a crisp white, Russell’s was baby blue, and he sported a long ponytail and scruffy beard, apparently for his next film, “Nottingham,” in which he’ll play both Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham in his fifth collaboration with Ridley.
Wearing matching outfits reflected the camaraderie that the two stars insisted they share at an earlier press conference. (more…)

Jacobs’s intentions were made clear even before the first model hit the catwalk Sunday in the custom-built LV tent in the Louvre Museum’s Cour Carree, when the voice of Edith Piaf cried out of huge speakers before a giant bamboo backdrop that recalled Pigalle music halls.
The results were all sorts of articles one never expected to see on a Vuitton catwalk - from mini knickers with LV logos to some slinky and saucy leotards.
Hair pulled up in spiky tarty plumes, eyes black rimmed, face pancaked in makeup, the models, whose limbs were covered in various African accoutrements, showed Leopard print bracelets, giant Maori style pendants and a sensational series of high heels.
And, in a season, which has trumpeted the return of the mini, Jacobs sent out a string of models in skirts that barely covered their underwear. (more…)
